Welcome...
Welcome to my web page. This is a page I created back in late 1994/early 1995 to keep my friends and family (and anyone else who cares) up to date on all the things I have been up to. I don't update it very often, but here it is...
The Latest...
The Story of George
Cifrancis (the short version).
I was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 22, 1966. I grew up in Steubenville
Ohio, where I lived until I graduated from Steubenville
Catholic Central in 1984. One month later, I went back to Columbus,
Ohio to go to school at The DeVry
Institute of Technology. I graduated from DeVry in
1987 with a B.S. Degree in Computer Information Systems. Shortly after, I
got a programming position at the Ohio
Bureau of Worker's Compensation here in Columbus,
Ohio where I have remained ever since. I am a Programmer/Analyst at the
BWC by title, but I mostly do UNIX System/Network Administration. If you
care to contact me, please send me
some email.

Old News OFFICIAL Babylon
5 supplier to Antarctica!
The hell you say! But yes! It is true! A friend of mine from Columbus, Ethan
Dicks, had spent over a year down in Antarctica to support their network
down there at McMurdo Station (he's
back now). I had sent all the Babylon
5 TV episodes down to him to keep him up to date. He sent me a nice postcard
that was signed by a bunch of the folks down there that attended his B5 viewing
parties. Here is the FRONT of the card,
and here is the BACK . I had the postcard
signed by J. Michael Straczynski (the creator of Babylon 5) when I met him
at a Science Fiction Convention here in Columbus (MARCON 31).
Joe Straczynski was back in town as a Guest of Honor at Marcon
32. On the subject of Babylon 5, I also have some pictures
of the Babylon 5 Guests of Honor that I took at Marcon 31, here in Columbus
in early 1996.
